Been a long time.
Same old stuff going on. I got on myspace and it seems to be a good thing. I stay a little closer with people than before and that's the entire point.
Me on myspace
Work is going well. I am starting to look for my next position. As much as I like where I work and who I work with, I have this understanding that my career leads me away. I have done a lot but when I stop being progressive I think I will get complacent and that is not something I want to happen. #

The halloween party was excellent. Decorations were nice and we floated the pony keg. Kinda suprising since we didn't have that many people in attendance. Maybe 25 people actually showed up. I had fun and got to see some people from college I haven't seen in a while. Action shots of the night
If you haven't figured it out yet, I like doing stuff with fire. Don't worry I haven't hurt myself yet
Semi-undisclosed fire happenings.
This last link was goings-on at college, that I never fully linked to my website.
A guy's gotta have his fun, right? #

Yeah, I was pissed that this wasn't working on Firefox, but I had messed a tag up on the css. Anyway It's fixed now... only 9 months later.
What's going with me?
This is all about me, right?
Well, haven't been up to much. Mostly watching tv, working, and trying to get some sleep.
I've decided I need to start getting back in shape. I'm going to start going to the gym before work. While I have a membership at a local gym, I just don't feel comfortable there. I had so much more motivation when the gym in Stafford was where I took my morning shower, or when I was working Gaithersburg and that's how I wasted time while waiting for traffic.
On the brighter side, the guys at work have been teaching me how to use dumbells and I'm getting paid while doing it.
Anime fans: If you like Neon Genesis Evangelion, I suggest the Rah Xephon series. I like the ending much better than NGE, but that's just me. I prefer the characters because they are more believable and less psycho like the characters of Evangelion. #

Well, the Blog is supposed to be an outlet like an online journal so I figured I might share a few things. Might let you know how close I am to bordering on insanity right? ON WITH THE MADNESS!
I think humans have outgrown evolution. Everyday more and more people are having children, but fewer people are being weeded out by natural selection. People might argue that the traits valued highly even 50 years ago are different than they are now and that natural selection is looking at the more brainy traits that are of higher value today. Truthfully, the people in higher paying jobs that require more thinking are reproducing less. So where is the human race going genetically?
I theorize that the more intelligent people are having less kids because they pursue commodities and personal space over children. I know to keep my lifestyle I would be hard pressed to do so supporting kids. That this is my first year out of college explains some of my thin pockets. It's been proven that it's best to reproduce earlier because the genes are stronger then. As life spans have lengthened, more and more people put off having children until they can better support it financially. The point of them supporting it financially is also being pushed further back as well. Again where is the human race going?
I am ready for the real Space Age. I want Americans united behind a cause, striving once again for the crown of power, conquering the great area that is space much like the west was won. I've had enough of this legalistic bullshit society. I have however learned the importance of business. ...and on that note cue the music. #

Instruments- Old and New
I recently acquired a flugelhorn off of Ebay. It's in excellent shape. It's a Jupiter and from the pictures you'll see it's gold colored.
I also acquired a Yamaha cornet a few days earlier but the flugel is a real gem.
While photographing the new acquisitions, I photographed my Silver Jupiter which I just got back from my little brother. Both new instruments are in better working condition than my old one. Rather disappointing but I suppose I did use my trumpet very heavily during high school.

Right around the end of June, I took some time off and ran for the mountains with Laurie.
Anyone can see mountains so I have linked to some of the neater pictures I found while there.

Been a long strange trip.
Haven't updated in a while and everything has changed.
I now live in Fairfax,VA after moving out of my parents house. 9422 Winterberry Lane Fairfax, Va 22032 If any of you choose to write.
I started doing actual work at work. Mind you it's not much.
My phone number will be changing soon so stay posted. I am getting a local number, had enough of having a Farmville number.
Got a new car, it's not the Scion tC listed below ,but a brand new Camry. I got an excellent deal on it and it holds more people. Always a plus for going to the bar(and being the sober one). Pictures will follow.
The real reason I'm updating is I have pictures to add of a quick vacation I went on and new instruments I recently acquired off of Ebay. #

Prep for Suse Install
websites with Source stuff I need to get up and running again quickly
NDISwrapper for Wireless
Penguin Liberation Front for dvd and other programs
Nforce Motherboard drivers for Linux
Nvidia Display Drivers for Linux
Always liked ATI until I got a Nforce2 mobo. I still want a nice AIW ATI card, but I can't argue with the Nforce2 performance I've gotten.
F@#*ing Wireless Windows drivers for use with NDIS
...Insert generic lament about no drivers for linux here...
Pause for the systems who have fallen due to bad drivers
I like Mandrake but I am hoping that Suse is something better. Maybe it's because I got the community version of Mandrake. I need to stop being a cheap bastard and actually buy an operating system. It would help if I stopped buying hardware... but oh well.
Also in the news today, I have been decided on what sort of car I want to get when I get one. I want to get a Scion tC. Hopefully, this isn't too far off.
I also have found that web browsers are pains about supporting different CSS tags.
I mean Firefox supports most of them, but the important positioning tags...I used all over the page!
I think it might help a little if I didn't use the multiple tags.(ie: not using background: instead of background_image: ...) but this is a theory I still have to test. IE uses most of my tags nice except for fixed, which works under firefox.
The real pain is that the firefox website says, there is no support for this feature planned.
When anyone who uses CSS can tell you it's the appropriate and best way to format a page... as long as it is supported. Much easier than tables, much cleaner and easier than frames. Until next posting enjoy! #

Future of Mysteretp.net
I have created a development site. Here you can see what my website looks like as I go along....Hmm Maybe I'll create a separate blog of the changes I make as I go along. I have to download Red vs. Blue. I am very curious because one of my cube mates watched it and I couldn't hear the audio but it looked funny. Back to work for now. Used on the development site: CSS(super sweet) I had no idea it was so powerful, definently the ways things should be. SSI- server side includes - very nice and EASY! But I still need to add decent content which is always hard. Maybe if I got down and did some actual perl or other code I could come up with something pretty sweet. #
CSS =wicked excellent
Look for an updated design for my website within the next week. I am gone skiing this weekend. Should be fun. Going up to Blue Mountain in PA. To All of you: Peace, Love, Happiness, and afterwards Lots of Ex-lax #

I want one!!!! From a slashdot Posting.
iWac (Score:3, Funny) by j-turkey (187775) on Monday January 10, @12:29PM (#11311193) (http://slashdot.org/) I heard rumors that this year, Apple will release the iWac. All the user needs to do to set it up is insert one plug, and they will be instantly connected to unimaginable amounts of free porn (well...really just regular Internet). The Apple-catch is that that it looks kinda neat, is wildly overpriced, and can be operated by using only one hand, and will be sold with a year of free service to Apple's .wac porn service. The iWac is rumored to sport an optional lubricant dispensor. It's not expected to sell well amongst devout Apple fans. For those elite few, their Macintosh computers can serve as porn enough without even being powered up. However, Apple is expected to offer a personal lubricant dispensor for those user's machines as an optional retrofit. #

Setup has completed.
I'm pleased to announce this is ready for release. I would recommend Blosxom blog program to anyone else who has their website hosted by someone else with the ability to use Perl and CGI. I read through the directions and it took me one hour to set it up and customize the feel. I'm not an expert after this, but it serves my needs/wants. #
